MMK’s steel output falls 0.5% to 3.091 mln tns in April-June

MOSCOW, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) reduced its steel output by 0.5% on the quarter to 3.091 million tonnes in April–June, while cast iron production rose 2.3% to 2.452 million tonnes, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

In January-June, it raised its steel production by 0.4% on the year to 6.198 million tonnes. Cast iron production went up 3.6% on the year to 4.849 million tonnes, the statement said.
